“I Knew Them When…”

Posted on 30 November 2011

Wingsite’s  2011 holiday party will have a special twist – Providing the opportunity to showcase up and coming “20-something” creative talents who are just getting started in the world.

A creative and fun event, giving young people their first legitimate opportunity to share their passions, and do some “inter-generational” networking.

See their work, hear their talent, watch their skills.

Among those featured we have an artist, a blogger/writer/commentator, a song writer/performer, a photographer, a magician and a national stunt bike champion.   This will be our first annual, “I Knew Them When” creative event in Connecticut.  You meet them before anyone knows them!

As a further part of the event, we’re asking every invitee to bring along with them a “20-something”, just starting out.  Wingsite will make a charitable donation to the Petit Family Foundation for every new “20-something friend” that attends.

The theme of the event dovetails well with our belief that reaching out to help move the next generation forward can only help us move forward as well.

March brings three new clients to Wingsite, all with new and exciting technology.

Alexion Pharmaceuticals trusts Wingsite with their busy portable program, leading to the design and building of new back wall displays that highlight their very specific, life changing product.

CE Symmetry’s 10×40 back wall is built to work in the critical field of Continuing Education training in the healthcare space.

EAS’s 30×40 island provides an innovative approach to the healthcare educational experience with hands-on demonstrations, presentations and learning corridors within the display area.

Thinking Outside Exhibit Walls

Wingsite followed what has become a holiday tradition by providing the glitter, bows and main event staging for the seasonal decorations at the Westfarms, Trumbull and Meriden Malls. Our expertise in staging environments and understanding the rigorous requirements for commercial decorating has provided three Connecticut malls with a necessary partner to launch their holiday season.

We start preparing in the Fall for the installation of the malls by staging each of the holiday themes at our Wethersfield location. Planning the equipment needs, power requirements and labor teams for each location is essential to the successful installation of the three large malls, all requiring basically the same completion date. Each mall has an elaborate set design, and thousands of trees, balls and lights that provide a memorable holiday experience for their shopping customers.

While the mall customers were enjoying the decorations, we were planning the careful removal and proper storage for each set design. It is all part of our providing effective and creative solutions for any type of event or environment.
